The 2013 Game Developers Conference will feature a photobooth area where attendees can dress up in their high-school finest and take classic year-book style photos together.
Production company iam8bit, known for their game-themed and pop culture inspired artwork and exhibits, has put together the "Class of GDC: Photo Playset." Attendees can don a number of old-school clothing options, including "sweaters and hideous dresses," and have an on-site hair and makeup artist primp them for the shoot. According to the event's page, the experience is aimed at "harkening back to those days of bad dos, questionable fashion and laser backdrops."
The 2013 Game Developers Conference will take place March 25 through 29 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. It is the largest yearly gathering of industry professionals and focuses on development education, idea sharing, networking and discussing the future of the industry. The conference also includes the annual Independent Games Festival, a showcase for indie games and developers, and the Game Developers Choice Awards, where the industry recognizes individuals who have contributed to its growth.
