Tribes: Ascend Game of the Year Edition launching February 15 with classes, perks and weapons

Tribes: Ascend Game of the Year Edition is set for release on Feb. 15, giving players the option to unlock every class, perk and weapon in Hi-Res Studios' free-to-play online shooter with one purchase, according to a press release from the developer.

The Game of the Year Edition includes content from the 10 expansions released since it launched in April 2012. For $29.99 (or $19.99 for Tribes VIPs, a title granted to everyone who makes real money purchases in the game), players can unlock over 100 weapons, all of the game's 9 classes and each of its 21 perks. It will be available to purchase through the game's official website and Steam.

"Nothing changes for players that are enjoying the game with the free-to-play model," said Todd Harris, Hi-Rez COO.

Hi-Res will also be releasing a patch that includes six new maps, two new skins and a new weapon called the Shocklance, though the developer didn't provide a date for that content.
