HarmoKnight coming to North America on March 28

HarmoKnight, the upcoming rhythm-based side-scroller from developer Game Freak, will be available for Nintendo 3DS on March 28 from the Nintendo eShop, it was announced during today's Nintendo Direct.

A demo of the game will be available two weeks ahead of launch on March 14. Players will get the chance to create rhythms and harmonies using attack and jumping actions in the game.

By collecting music notes, hitting the environment like a hi-hat and taking out enemies, the player will add to the soundtrack of the game and make action-driven songs ranging from marches to rock tracks. In addition, advanced modes will also be available, including an unlockable speed mode.

HarmoKnight was first announced last year and was released to Japan on Sept. 5, 2012.
