A new batch of screenshots for the English localization of Animal Crossing: New Leaf show smiling citizens of a quaint little country town and a handful of shopkeepers hawking their services.
The screenshots above feature numerous smiling creatures going about their daily business of buying new home decorations, visiting the post office and ascending the social chain to become mayor. Tom Nook has returned once again to oversee the town's housing market, and various other recreational activities are represented in the gallery — including shopping for hand-tailored fashions and catching sea slugs.
In New Leaf, players will strike out from under Nook's dominion and be their own boss. The game features new online features and even more customization options for character creation and home-building.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf will be available on Nintendo 3DS in North America on June 9.
