Video game retailer GAME expects to launch a cloud-based video game streaming service in the second half of 2013 for customers in the U.K., in effort to keep up with changes in video game consumption.
"As the face of gaming changes, it's vital that we stay at the forefront," said Martyn Gibbs, CEO of GAME, in a prepared statement.
GAME's new service will use cloud vendor CiiNow's Cumulus cloud-based video game streaming technology.
Customers will have access to a catalog games for smartphones, tablets, Windows PC, Mac, set-top box and smart TV platforms in a series of trials before the full launch.
"We believe in providing our customers with access to great games in every gaming arena and these trials will help shape how we do that," Gibbs said.
