Tomb Raider trailer highlights Lara's 'scrappy and raw' combat strategy

A trailer for Tomb Raider released today by publisher Square Enix gives viewers a closer look at a young Lara Croft’s “scrappy and raw approach” when fighting enemies and surviving the perilous island environment.

The Lara of Crystal Dynamics’ upcoming Tomb Raider reboot has yet to gain her bearings as a daredevil explorer. Lara’s greatest advantage against her attackers is her stealth, allowing her to sneak up on enemies for silent execution. But to survive and escape the island of Yamatai, fending off both animals and humans out for her blood, players must bolster our heroine’s defenses by unlocking skills and upgrading her weapons.

Check out the video above for a look at how players can combine these things to make Lara worthy of her “Tomb Raider” title. The game is slated to launch on March 5 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
