Angry Birds migrate to the prepaid Visa card industry

New, comments

Rovio's Angry Birds franchise has landed in the prepaid credit card market, Kaiku Finance announced today in a press release.

Beginning today, customers can order prepaid Angry Birds Visa cards featuring Red Bird, Yellow Bird, Bomb Bird and the Bad Piggies. You can order the cards at Kaiku's website for $3.95 and load them up with funds from a bank account, credit card, direct deposit or another Kaiku card.

"We're excited to be working with Kaiku on this fun new way to bring Angry Birds into the physical world and fans' everyday lives," said Peter Vesterbacka, Rovio Entertainment CMO.

The Kaiku prepaid Visa is the latest flight into pop culture for the Angry Birds. Rovio announced yesterday that an Angry Birds cartoon series called Angry Birds Toons will premiere online next month.
