The Leap Motion Controller, the 3D gesture controller system, will begin shipping out on May 13 and will launch at U.S. Best Buy stores on May 19, Leap Motion announced recently.
Best Buy is now taking pre-orders, and the device is still available for pre-orders from the Leap Motion site for $79.99 plus shipping and tax.
Supported games announced for the motion control system include Disney Interactive's Wreck-It Ralph: Sugar Rush Speedway, Double Fine's Dischord and ZeptoLab's Cut the Rope.
The games are available from its own application store called Airspace that features optimized Leap Motion Controller gaming, music, education, art and productivity apps.
Other announced applications for the Leap Motion Controller include a 3D plug-in from Autodesk, Corel's Painter apps and The Weather Channel App.
Operating systems supported include Windows 7 and 8, and Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8

South by Southwest (SXSW) attendees can get hands-on with the Leap Motion Controller app at 515 Cesar Chavez (the Old Iron Works parking lot) between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Central time, March 9-11.
Also at SXSW, a "Leap Motion & the Disappearing Interface" session with Leap Motion co-founders Michael Buckwald, CEO, and David Holz, CTO will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 12:30 p.m. Central time in the Austin Convention Center, Exhibit Hall 5.
