Deadfall Adventures brings Indiana Jones-inspired FPS action to PC, Xbox 360

Deadfall Adventures, the next game from former Polish game studio The Farm 51, promises to marry "the ethos of the Saturday morning matinee with the Summer blockbuster," combining first-person shooting with exploration and puzzle-solving.

The Unreal Engine 3 game will send players to Aztec tombs, deep into the Arctic and into ancient Egyptian pyramids in search of artifacts and adventure. As protagonist James Lee Quatermain, players will face more than just deadly traps and puzzles, they'll also contend with supernatural enemies and Nazi soldiers with a taste for the occult. The Farm 51 doesn't shy away from Indiana Jones comparisons in its announcement of the Xbox 360 and PC game, though there's no mention of first-person whipping in Deadfall Adventures.

"We're putting everything into the games' stunning graphics to create a unique experience that will be both challenging and engaging," said Wojciech Pazdur, development director at The Farm 51, in a press release. "The great thing about Deadfall Adventures, it makes us discover the little Indiana Jones in all of us."

Deadfall Adventures will be released on July 30th 2013 for Windows PC and Xbox 360.
