Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Sega's star-studded kart racer originally scheduled for a late 2012 release on Nintendo 3DS, will be released in North America on Feb. 12, according to a post on Sega's blog.
The handheld version, which will be released in Europe on Feb. 8, will allow you to perform challenges through StreetPass, race as your Mii character and includes up to eight racer multiplayer. A limited edition of the game will be available at retail outlets while supplies last and include a "Metal Sonic" playable character and accompanying vehicle, a bonus track called Outrun Bay, challenges, time trials and decorations for your in-game driver's license.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed was released last year for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Wii U and Jan. 31 for Windows PC with Team Fortress 2 characters. You can learn more about kart racing Sega style in our review.
