Hitman film franchise rebooted by Fox with Agent 47

Fox International Productions, according to Deadline, are rebooting the live action film adaption of Hitman.

Fox International Productions, according to Deadline, is rebooting the live action film adaption of IO Interactive's Hitman.

Titled Agent 47, the main protagonist of the Hitman franchise, several producers attached to the movie worked on the 2007 Hitman film: Chuck Gordon (Die Hard, Hitman, Waterworld), Adrian Askarieh (Hitman, Kayne & Lynch) and Daniel Alter (Hitman, Kayne & Lynch) as executive producer. Alex Young (A Good Day to Die Hard, Predators, The A-Team) is the only Agent 47 producer without a Hitman background.

Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker is slated to star as Agent 47, a role previously played by Timothy Olyphant in the 2007 Hitman movie. The Hitman movie grossed $100 million worldwide and has a Metacritic score of 35.

Aleksander Bach will make his feature length debut as the film's director. He previously worked on advertisements for Mercedes, Chevrolet and Marlboro.

Agent 47 will start filming this summer at Berlin and Singapore locations.
