Mech combat title Armored Core: Verdict Day will reset the stats of all playable factions at the end of each season, and will include 56 maps for players to battle through, according to 4gamer.
In Verdict Day, players will form armies of giant mechs under one of three factions and enter battle against or alongside each other in various co-op modes. The battle is over when one team takes control of the territory or when the "season" comes to a close, after which all competition stats for the three factions will be reset to zero.
4gamer reports that developer From Software has confirmed a total of 56 maps for the game, and if your mech is shot down you have the option to navigate the battlefield in a jetpack. Players can also reportedly take in-game screenshots, save them for viewing later, and upload them for use alongside in-game updates that will provide players with information about the game.
Polygon has reached out to publisher Namco Bandai for clarification of these details, and will update this story with more information as we have it.
Armored Core: Verdict Day is slated to launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America this fall, and in Japan on Sept. 26.
