Platform puzzle game Toki Tori 2 will be available through the Wii U eShop on April 4, developer Two Tribes announced today.
In a post on the company's official website, Two Tribes wrote that due to a crash bug found in post-production the game had to be resubmitted to Nintendo, extending the title's delay. The developer also wanted to prevent the game's release being lost in news coming out of the 2013 Game Developers Conference next week.
"During GDC, all eyes are on that event and the news coming out of it, so we decided to do it the week after," reads the post. "You may have noticed a lot is riding for us on the success of Toki Tori 2, so we hope you do not mind waiting two more weeks!"
Two Tribes also released a new trailer, posted above, featuring gameplay footage.
Toki Tori 2, originally scheduled to launch last year on Nintendo's new console, was pushed back to 2013 for additional polish, according to the developer. The title is playable entirely on the Wii U GamePad controller screen and includes a Pokemon Snap-like feature called the Tokidex.
