Daylight shows off its psychological scares in first gameplay video

The Seattle-based development team at Zombie Studios' has released the first gameplay video for its upcoming Unreal Engine 4-powered psychological thriller Daylight.

Daylight is a procedurally generated title emphasizing exploration. Players take on the role of a character who wakes up in an abandoned hospital with only a cell phone to light their way. By exploring the building they will discover the institution's sinister past.

The video above offers a glimpse at this. The player makes use of an app on their in-game cell that turns their phone into a makeshift compass, while exploring the depths of the building.

Zombie Studios states no two gameplay experiences are the same due to the game's procedurally generated environments, content and encounters.

Daylight is coming to Steam this year.
