Team Ninja splits into two groups following Tecmo Koei restructuring

New, comments

Team Ninja, the developer behind the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series', is being split into two separate teams following a restructuring initiative from publisher Tecmo Koei.

As described in an announcement from the company, as translated by Siliconera, the studio now consists of two groups: Ichigaya Development Group 1 and Ichigaya Development Group 2. The former team will be led by current Team Ninja lead Yosuke Hayashi, while Fatal Frame producer Keisuke Kikuchi will head the second team.

While it remains unclear how the creation of the two new teams will affect development, we have contacted Tecmo Koei for further information about this corporate restructuring process.
