Divekick trailer chronicles the difficulty of motion-capturing good dive kicks

A new trailer for indie fighting game Divekick shows the struggles of a small developer making a game solely based around diving and kicking.

It's particularly hard, according to the trailer, when one's employees are more focused on having fun on trampolines than on the motion-capture process.

Initially created "as a fighting game parody," Divekick possesses only two buttons — one to jump and one to kick — and makes even a single blow into a one-hit kill. The meat of the game, then, involves strategy, positioning, and out-thinking one's opponent.

Divekick is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita later this year.
