Watch Dogs trailer monitors the hero as he causes digital mayhem

A new video out for Ubisoft's Watch Dogs recounts previously-shown missions from the perspective of the authorities.

Protagonist Aiden Pearce has the ability to hack into the systems the Chicago authorities use to monitor the citizens and more, and he puts it to good use on the city streets. He siphons money from the bank account of a political lobbyist, intervenes in a potentially deadly domestic dispute, and then chases down the perpetrator while evading the police.

Fans may note that Ubisoft has shown this mission before at the PlayStation 4 reveal event, but the new narration from the perspective of the owners of the ctOS system puts Pearce's actions into perspective. The trailer also draws attention to the fact that the authorities aren't the only ones using the system to track Pearce, though whether the mysterious digital watch dog is a foe or friend remains to be seen.

Watch Dogs is scheduled for release at the end of the year for PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and Windows PC.
