Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, the upcoming, pirate-centric installment in the series, will feature "new connected features" in its release on next-gen platforms, creative director Jean Guesdon told CVG.
This will be in addition to improved graphics and physics; however, Guesdon remains vague about how the "enhanced connected features" will work within the game.
"Next-gen versions will bring to the players new connected features allowing them to feel that even if they remain 'single player' it will be better to be a 'single connected player,'" he said. "I mean, that next-gen consoles will allow players to have a solo experience that benefit the presence of a huge community."
Black Flag's upcoming appearance on next-gen consoles was first teased at the beginning of the month through a leaked screenshot. Ubisoft later revealed the title is headed to PlayStation 4, Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and "other next generation consoles." Check out our in-depth preview of the upcoming title.
