Ridiculous Fishing out March 14 on iOS, developer releases six-second trailer

Ridiculous Fishing, Vlambeer's iOS version of its fishing and shooting game Radical Fishing, is set for a March 14 release on iOS, according to a tweet from the developer.

You can check out a six-second trailer that the developer released today on Vine, showing off the graphical updates and gameplay in Ridiculous Fishing. If you're itching to get your lure underwater before next week's release, you can play the comparatively sparse Radical Fishing online.

The Super Crate box developer began work on the iOS port in 2010, but suffered blows to motivation and progress when it learned that Gamenauts was working on a clone of Radical Fishing for iOS called Ninja Fishing. Polygon chronicled the story in our Cloning Case Files series. Vlambeer co-founder Rami Ismail later said that the decision to speak out changed the way the industry deals with clones.
