Liberation Maiden, the shooter developed by Level-5 and Goichi "Suda51" Suda of Grasshopper Manufacture (No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned), is headed to iOS for iPhone and iPad, according to the game's listing on the Australian iOS App Store.
Originally released in Japan on Nintendo 3DS as part of Level-5's Guild01 compilation, Suda51's Liberation Maiden was later released in the North American 3DS eShop, where it's available for $7.99. Set 100 years in the future, the game tells the story of Shoko Ozora, a high school student and Second President of New Japan, as she fights to liberate her country.
The universal app is available now in the Australian iOS App Store — where it's already March 7 — for $6.49. We expect it to be released in regions worldwide over the next day.
