Hi-Rez Studios is sponsoring the Smite Invitational PAX East Tournament with $10,000 in prizes available to players of its free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena game, according to an email from the company.
The 5v5 Smite tournament will take place March 22 to 24. Seven teams have already been invited, while an eighth will be determined during a single elimination wildcard event this Sunday, March 10. Those who aren't participating in the tournament will still be able to play the MOBA at the Twitch.tv booth during PAX East, where the developer will host events, including giveaways, interactions with pro-level players and more. If you're interested in checking Smite out before PAX East, you can sign up for the open beta on the game's official website.
PAX East 2013 will take place in Boston from March 22 to 24, and Polygon will be there to bring you all the news.
