Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 launch trailer features the only guys who can get the job done

Samit Sarkar (he/him) is Polygon’s deputy managing editor. He has more than 15 years of experience covering video games, movies, television, and technology.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will be released next week, and the launch trailer put out today by developer City Interactive shows off some of the sniping, stabbing, shooting and 'sploding action the game contains.

The story follows Capt. Cole Anderson, a private security consultant, in a globe-trotting adventure that appears to be concerned with taking down a rogue leader. Along the way, Anderson and his team won't only be sniping; they'll also stay hidden with close-quarters combat as a complement to their long-range kills, and sometimes, circumstances will force them to go loud as well.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 launches March 12 on Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It was originally scheduled for release last August, and was later delayed to October before being confirmed for that date.
