NYU launching Magnet video game institute in Brooklyn this fall

New York University plans to open the Media and Games Network center in Brooklyn this fall, where students will be able to study video game design, coding and art, according to an article published in the Wall Street Journal.

Called "Magnet" for short, the 40,000-square-foot facility will expand the university's existing Game Center with more classes, degrees and students.

"I think it's going to be good," said Frank Lantz, NYU Game Center's director. "We're going to make Downtown Brooklyn cool."
