Worms 2: Armageddon available for Android devices and Kindle Fire HD

Worms 2: Armageddon is now available for Android devices and Kindle Fire HD for $4.99, Team17 announced.

The Android port features customizable worms, 12 different game styles and 30 single-player missions across five themes: Manhattan, Medieval, Sports, Construction and Cheese.

Other new modes include Fort Mode, Crazy Crates and Body Count Mode, which involves taking on endless waves of increasingly tough enemy worms.

Multiplayer abilities include two-player online play via Wi-Fi and "pass-and-play" for two to four players.

New and classic weapons include Sentry Gun, Poison Strike, Electromagnet, Napalm Strike, Super Sheep, Petrol Bomb, Armageddon, Drill, Earthquake, Sheep, Holy Hand Grenade, Concrete Donkey, Parachute, Baseball Bat and Ninja Rope.

Worms for Facebook went into beta last Summer and officially launched to the public in February. Team 17 aim to release Worms on the PlayStation Vita "later this year."

The game first launched for Xbox Live Arcade in 2009, and an expanded version was released the following year for Windows PC and the PlayStation Network. Worms 2: Armageddon for iOS devices version came out in 2010.
