Boston Festival of Indie Games attendee registration now open

Attendee registration for the second annual Boston Festival of Indie Games are now open, MIT Game Lab and Boston Indies announced.

The festival caters to game developers and game enthusiasts, and celebrates all types of games, such as video games, location-based games, tabletop games, card games and live role-playing games.

The free attendee registration covers the Indie Video Game Showcase, the street games, board/card Games, film screenings and an art show. The film screening line up consists of the Ecstasy of Order: the Tetris Masters, Going Cardboard: A Board Game Documentary, Indie Game: The Movie, Get Lamp and Darkon.

Separate registrations are required for the live music events and the game jam.

The Figgies Awards, a community-voted awards ceremony where the best games showcased at the event are recognized for various categories, will top the festival off.

The Boston Festival of Indie Games will take place on Sept. 14 at the Stratton Student Center, MIT and detailed event information can be found on its official website.
