SuperBot Entertainment, developer of the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale fighting game, is working on a new project, SuperBot's director of operations David Yang told Edge Online.
"We have substantially shrunk down our operations but are still going strong while we work on a new IP," Yang said.
Founded in 2009, SuperBot developed exclusively for Sony during its first years and released PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale in late 2012 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. In late January 2013, a representative for Sony Computer Entertainment America confirmed layoffs at SuperBot to Polygon. By early February, Sony confirmed to Polygon that the "working relationship" between the two companies had ended.
In a statement released when the layoffs were announced, Yang wrote that the developer was "very excited about beginning the next chapter of our future."
