Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run brings shell-shocked endless running to iOS today

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run, an endless runner from Nickelodeon, is available now for iOS devices, according to a press release from Nickelodeon.

The $1.99 app, which casts players as the crime fighting reptiles Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, as they jump and fight their way over New York City rooftops battling Kraang's minions like the Foot Clan. Players earn coins, which they can cash in for power ups and upgrades to gear and weapons. Collecting orbs unlocks "Turtle Time" mode, where the camera zooms in, time slows down and players tap to earn coins rapidly. The game also allows players to purchase upgrades with real-life money.

Based on Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run launched today in eight languages and more than 150 countries in the iOS App Store. Earlier this year, Activision and Nickelodeon announced a partnership that grants Activision the rights to develop games based on the series. The first release under that partnership is due this summer.
