Dev video reveals indie steampunk airship title, 20,000 Leagues Above the Clouds

Newly created Swedish indie development studio That Brain has released a video introducing itself and its first project, 20,000 Leagues Above the Clouds.

Set in a world of floating islands, 20,000 Above (as the developers refer to the game) makes the player the captain of an airship who can choose to trade or smuggle goods, or even be a pirate. It will be a singleplayer game with a cast of characters inspired by BioWare's Baldur's Gate and Joss Whedon's space western TV series Firefly, and a game world that resembles a world one might find in a film by famous Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki.

At the moment, That Brain only has two developers, Björn Albihn and Jonatan Crafoord, who have worked at places like Bionic Commando developer Grin and LittleBigPlanet creator Media Molecule. The studio is currently recruiting talent to work on 20,000 Above.

20,000 Leagues Above the Clouds is in development for Windows PC and Mac, though the video says that other platforms and multiplayer support might be considered at a later date.
