Sony Computer Entertainment America recently submitted a trademark application for Destiny of Spirits to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), according to a document the USPTO's website.
The document was filed on March 26, 2013, and applies to computer game software, electronic game software for handheld electronic devices and video game software.
On Oct. 28, 2009, Zenerji, an asset management company, registered the Destiny of Spirits domain and updated it a year later.
Polygon reached out to Sony for comment and will update the story as more information becomes available.
