In homage to TV and film director J.J. Abrams's production company, Bad Robot, Blizzard will release a special World of Warcraft pet, the developer announced via its website.
Players proficient in the engineering profession will be able to create their own bad robot According to the post, the new pet is a way to express the company's respect for Abrams' work, which includes prolific titles such as Lost, Fringe and the Star Trek reboot.
"We play countless games, we collect comics and card games, we love cutting-edge technology and computer hardware, we're fascinated by science and discovery and many of us are movie buffs," the post reads. "Movies represent the combined imaginations of talented writers and visionaries, artists and operators, editors and producers, that can culminate in an awesome cinematic experience."
A specific date for the pet's availability has not been given, though the post does promise it will be available in "a future patch."
