Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards: Reloaded publisher Replay Games is aiming to launch downloadable versions of the title on Windows PC and Mac on May 31 worldwide, the company told Polygon today.
The adventure game, an "enhanced remake" of the first title in the Leisure Suit Larry franchise, is also in development on Linux, iOS and Android, although the company has "[no] estimates on the timing" for those releases.
A retail version of Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded, which is being planned for worldwide distribution by German publisher UIG Entertainment, will be available soon after the digital launch. A representative for Replay said a release date for the retail version is "somewhat less certain" than for the downloadable version, and added that at this time, "June is the most accurate estimate in regard to retail."
The physical version has a suggested retail price of £14.99 in the U.K. and €19.99 in Europe, and will launch on PC, Mac and Linux, said UIG in a press release today. The digital PC and Mac versions are now available for pre-order on Amazon for $19.99, but the Replay spokesperson said that any currently listed pricing is not final.
Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded is being developed by N-Fusion Interactive and will feature a score by Journey composer Austin Wintory. Read our interview with Wintory for details on how the opportunity to work on the game was "like a fantasy" for him, and check out four new screenshots below.
