World of Tanks developer Wargaming.net launched the game's 8.5 update starting today, adding to the German and Soviet arsenals, and the studio released a trailer and screenshots to show off the new content.

Update 8.5 is now available in Europe; it will be released in the U.S. and southeast Asia tomorrow, and on May 7 in South Korea.

The update adds a new map to the free-to-play tank combat title, as well as multiple tanks for the Germans and Soviets. In addition, it changes the game to allow credits to be used for premium consumables; until now, they could only be purchased with in-game gold.

Check out the update 8.5 trailer above, and nine new screenshots below. Wargaming.net launched World of Tanks' 8.4 update last month.
