IGF China 2013 now taking pan-Pacific indie game submissions

The Independent Games Festival China is now accepting submissions from game developers in the pan-Pacific area, according to a post on the event's official website.

The last day for submissions is July 19, and finalists will be announced August 15. All finalists will receive two all access passes to the awards show and GDC China, where winners will be announced at the IGF China Awards Ceremony September 15.

There are currently five categories that developers will compete in: Excellence in Visual Arts, Excellence in Technology, Excellence in Audio, Best Mobile Game and Best Game. With the exception of Best Game, worth $3,150, winners will receive $780 in prize money.

A separate competition for students will also be held. The prize for Best Student Game is $1,570, while Excellent Student Winner is $470.

IGF China will take place during GDC China in Shanghai from September 15 to 17.
