Stealth Bastard, Curve Studios' stealth-based puzzle platformer, has been rechristened Stealth Inc. - A Clone in the Dark for its upcoming PlayStation 3 and Vita release, according to a post by lead designer Sam Robinson today on the official PlayStation Blog.
The new name is a mashup of two entries from a recent contest, which gathered over 3,500 suggestions. Ash Baker submitted the Stealth Inc. and Ben Collins submitted A Clone in the Dark. Both will be credited in the PlayStation ports.
"Whilst we will always have a nostalgic fondness for the old title, we're very happy with the new name as it will reach a wider audience as a result," Robinson wrote in response to a blog post comment. "Also, this version of the game is redone in 3D and is now HD, so the new name also helps to differentiate the new game from the old one."
Curve Studios announced earlier this month that Stealth Inc. - A Clone in the Dark is headed to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita this summer. The Windows PC version of the game, Stealth Bastard Deluxe, is available for $9.99 on Steam.
