Quell Memento coming from Fallen Tree Games in May on PS Vita, iOS, Android

Quell Memento, a logic puzzle game, is set for release in late May on PlayStation Vita, iOS and Android from Fallen Tree Games.

It will be the company's third Quell game after the iOS titles Quell (2010) and Quell Reflect (2011). Fallen Tree enlisted the help of Bigyama, a fellow Nottingham, U.K.-based studio, to develop the PS Vita version of Quell Memento.

Fallen Tree refers to the Quell titles as zen puzzle games. "We wanted to create a game that helped people unwind, maybe after a long day at school or work," said Lewis Boadle, the studio's art director, on the PlayStation Blog. Quell Memento boasts more than 150 relaxing puzzles, with a backstory told through setting and narration; it is intended to pull the player through the block-based puzzles.

Quell Memento is set in the attic of a dilapidated house, and its narrator is an old man recounting his hazy memories to the player. As the game progresses, the house becomes transformed to its appearance when the man was younger. The game's orchestral score was written by composer Steven Cravis.
