Skullgirls fourth DLC character is blood-controlling Eliza

Lab Zero Games' Skullgirls fourth DLC fighter is Eliza, as voted by backers of the game's IndieGoGo campaign.

People who backed the project were invited to vote on which fighter, of many, they would like see included on Skullgirls' roster.

Eliza may have two fighting modes, for instance when the skeletal Parasite Sekhmet is inside Eliza's body, her attacks are slow, powerful; and when Eliza "anchors herself onto the Staff of Ra," Sekhmet becomes a more mobile, agile character with new abilities.

"The ultimate attack-from-disadvantage character," her character concept description reads. "Because of her kinship with her parasite, Eliza can control her own blood. Each time she is hit she bleeds, MK style, and the blood stays on the stage. Certain specials and supers can then use it."

Her gameplay style inspiration draws from nine fighters from different fighting games, such as Donovan Baine from the Darkstalkers series, Nanase from Street Fighter EX3 and A.B.A. from the Guilty Gear series.

Because a number of backers made noise about withdrawing pledges from the IndieGoGo campaign if their character of choice didn't win, PayPal temporarily froze Lab Zero Games account last week. The account has since been unfrozen and PayPal is holding $35,000 "as collateral."
