The second trailer for Kickstarted old-school throwback Two Brothers shows off the monochrome Game Boy-esque world to which protagonist Roy Guarder dreams of bringing a new color.
After a near-death experience that showed him a world filled with color, Roy and his brother Bivare set out on an adventure to discover new colors in the world. Two Brothers is developed in a "nostalgic" style reminiscent of classic action-adventure games, notably the Legend of Zelda series. "The game is meant to remind people of the Game Boy era of games without strictly adhering to the limitations of the system," says developer Ackk Studio.
Ackk Studios originally sought $6,000 via Kickstarter to make Two Brothers, and ended up with more than $16,000 from nearly 800 backers. The game is being developed for Windows, Mac, Linux, Xbox 360, iOS, Android and Wii U eShop, and is scheduled for a Summer 2013 release.
