Space Hulk dev Q&A touts fidelity to the Warhammer 40k board game

A new video from Full Control features studio CEO Thomas Lund answering questions from fans about Space Hulk, the studio's upcoming strategy title based on the Warhammer 40k board game of the same name.

The team is trying to ensure that Space Hulk would be as close to the rules of the board game as possible, says Lund, adding that every rule in the tabletop game will be present in the video game, though some have been adapted to suit the new format. Every action in the game that would require a roll of dice in the tabletop game will simulate said roll in-game, says Lund, and players can turn on the option to see dice rolls to make sure the computer isn't cheating them.

Space Hulk will feature both a single-player mode based on the tabletop campaign The Sin of Damnation, and a multiplayer mode for head-to-head combat. It will also include a map editor for players to create their own stages for grimdark Space Marine combat.

The core game will only feature the Blood Angels chapter of the Space Marines, though Lund says that future updates will hopefully include other chapters such as the Deathwing.

Space Hulk will release on Windows PC, Mac and iOS later this year.
