Metro: Last Light up for pre-order on Steam, 10 percent off for Metro 2033 owners

Samit Sarkar (he/him) is Polygon’s deputy managing editor. He has more than 15 years of experience covering video games, movies, television, and technology.

Metro: Last Light is now available for pre-order on Steam, and along with the typical pre-order bonus content is a special offer: Metro 2033 owners get a 10 percent discount on pre-orders.

That deal brings the price down by $4.99, since the regular price for the Windows PC version is $49.99. All pre-order customers will also receive the Limited Edition of the game. It includes the HUD-less Ranger Mode; a Modified Russian Rifle; extra military-grade bullets — ammunition is the currency of the Metro universe — and the Metro: Last Light digital comic by Dmitry Glukhovsky, the writer of the novels upon which the games are based.

Metro: Last Light launches May 14 in North America on Windows PC as well as on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; it will be available May 17 in Europe. The Steam pre-order page also lists the game's minimum and recommended system requirements, aside from hard drive space.
