The anticipated Dark Betrayal expansion for NCsoft's massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Aion, will roll out for North America this June, Aion's associate producer Sean Orlikowski told Massively.
The 4.0 update will expand upon the plot-lines established in the Assault on Balaurea and Ascension expansions. Massively reports that the western 4.0 update will be on par with Korea's 4.2 update.
Dark Betrayal features three new classes, the shooter-based Gunslinger, known as the Shooting Star class in Korea; the Songweaver, a bard class; and a mech class called The Aethertech.
Orlikowski said that the Songweaver class has received greater interest from players than the Gunslinger.
"It's got some pretty powerful nuke abilities," he explained to Massively. "It's got this three-stage charge-up shot that does just as much damage as some of the Sorcerer's abilities of the same level."
