Pre-orders for Harebrained Schemes' Kickstarted tactical role-playing game, Shadowrun Returns, are now open on Steam for $17.99, which includes a 10 percent discount.
A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available for $31.99, marked down from $34.99. The Deluxe version includes the Shadowrun Returns soundtrack and the Shadowrun Returns Anthology, an illustrated PDF of short stories edited by Shadowrun's creator, Jordon Weisman.
The game's Kickstarter launched in 2012 and exceeded its $400,000 goal, raising more than $1.8 million dollars. Harebrained Schemes' studio head, Jordon Weisman, said "just under" $1.2 million was spent on development, with rest going to Amazon and PayPal fees and Microsoft licensing costs.
Shadowrun Returns is currently scheduled for release on Windows PC and Mac in July, with a Linux version launching shortly after. A DRM-free copy of the game will only be available to Kickstart backers. Android and iOS versions were expected to launch alongside PC.
