Duke Nukem Forever is now the target of modders, with the release of a modded version of the game described as the "game that was meant to be."
Duke Nukem Forever 2013 is the work of modders Gambini and Mikko Sandt, who aim to re-create the original Duke Nukem Forever as it was first presented during its 2001 E3 trailer.
The title has been in development for roughly six months, and despite missing its planned release date of April 15 is now available on its official ModDB page. This is not a full-length game; however, the mod offers a number of maps from the original game, in addition to new enemies, art and effects.
