Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto 2 rated by ESRB for PlayStation platforms

The first two titles in the Grand Theft Auto franchise have been listed by the Electronic Software Ratings Board for release on PlayStation platforms, suggesting an upcoming digital release via the PlayStation Network.

The original game has been rated "M" for strong language and use of animated blood, while the later has only received a T rating for its language, violence and suggestive themes.

The PlayStation Store currently offers a number of other titles in the franchise. PSN users can buy PlayStation 2 Classics Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto 3 for PlayStation 3. PS3 players can also download Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City as a full game and Grand Theft Auto 4. The latest installment in the series, Grand Theft Auto 5, is slated to launch Sept. 17 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
