Former LucasArts dev brings new game, The Novelist, to Steam Greenlight

Kent Hudson, former LucasArts dev and game designer on titles such as BioShock 2 and Deus Ex: Invisible War, is currently collecting votes for his latest game, The Novelist, on Steam Greenlight.

The Novelist follows Dan Kaplan, a writer on his way to penning the most important book of his career, and his family in their coastal summer home. As a ghostly presence, players can read the family's thoughts, explore their memories and help guide how the family and Dan's career changes. According to the game's description, The Novelist is choice heavy and outcomes will change based on your actions.

"The Novelist asks one central question: can you achieve your dreams without pushing away the people you love?" the description reads."... The decisions you make will define the Kaplans' lives, but they may also tell you something about yourself."

You can watch the video above for a brief introduction to the game's story and a look at gameplay. The Novelist is being developed for Windows PC and Mac.
