Anno Online, Ubisoft Blue Byte's free-to-play strategy game, entered its open beta phase today and is accepting new players, according to a press release from Ubisoft.
Interested players can sign up at the game's official website. Those who also participated in Anno Online's closed beta that began last month can continue without having their data wiped and will receive a decorative statue for their city and a premium ship, which carries more freight and navigates the water faster than any other on the high seas.
The developers will also add a Guild System this month, which will allow players to form and join groups of up to 25 players.
Ubisoft announced the browser-based game last August. In the follow-up to Anno 1404, Players begin on a deserted island with a harbor and a warehouse and the goal of building a vast commercial empire.
