Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, an action platformer with a re-imagined take on the Pac-Man franchise, will be released this fall, Namco Bandai announced via press release.
Ghostly Adventures follows the story and characters from the upcoming Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures animated series, which is set to air this year on Disney XD. The game takes place in Pac-World, where Pac-Man must stop Netherworld ghost Betrayus from taking over. Check out the trailer above for a look at gameplay.
Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures is currently being developed for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U. An "exclusive side-scrolling" edition is also in the works for Nintendo 3DS. The game will launch in North and Latin America, with no current plans for a Japan release.
