Tokyo Game Show 2013 Indie Games Area and Sense of Wonder Night now accepting applications

Tokyo Game Show 2013 is accepting applications now for its new Indie Games Area and the Sense of Wonder Night 2013 project.

The Indie Games Area will take place on the exhibition site and will feature 50 exhibition spaces per day. Applicants for the Indie Games Area exhibition can download and submit a form from the TGS website. Submissions close Friday, June 14.

Featured at TGS since 2008, the Sense of Wonder Night presentation showcases game prototypes and concepts. Entry for SOWN is open to international submissions, amateurs, professionals, individuals and corporations. Finalists of SOWN will be granted space on the Indie Games Area. Applications for presentations can be submitted via SOWN's page on the TGS website and entries close on Monday, July 8.

TGS 2013 will encompass a greater area of Makuhari Messe to ease congestion and will feature greater emphasis on independent games. Six new exhibitions planned for this year's show include Cyber Games Asia Area, Cloud Gaming Area, Otome Game Area, a retail Cosplay Area, Music Live Event and a Business Startup Area.

Tokyo Game Show 2013 will take place at the Makuhari Messe on Sept. 19 to 22. Polygon will be reporting live from the event
