Venus Patrol and MOCAtv to hold Horizon, an 'alternative E3 press conference' on June 13

Venus Patrol and MOCAtv, the YouTube channel for the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, will hold an "alternative E3 press conference" on June 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. ET, according to the event's official website.

The even will "present a lineup of beautiful games as an alternative to what we've come to expect from standard E3 fare" at the Museum at 250 South Grand Ave. in Los Angeles. Organizers didn't mention specific games, instead teasing a range of small and large studios, known and new games and "very possibly some super secret new surprises that will be entirely unexpected."

The event is the brainchild of Venus Patrol founder Brandon Boyer and artist Cory Schmitz, who has designed for projects including Queasy Games' Sound Shapes, the Indie Megabooth and Polygon.
