The Assassin's Creed film adaptation will hit theaters May 22, 2015, according to a listing on Box Office Mojo.
The film is reportedly being distributed through Fox and will star Prometheus actor Michael Fassbender, role still unknown. Fassbender will co-produce the Assassin's Creed movie through his production company, DMC Film.
Ubisoft Motion Pictures, created to engineer film and TV adaptations of company franchises, also partnered with production company New Regency in the fall of last year.
Prince of Denmark writer Michael Lesslie has already been tapped to pen the movie's script. Few details about the film's plot, however, have been released.
