Following the tease of the Panopticon trailer last week, today Sony's Japan Studio finally announced their project Freedom Wars, a multiplayer action title for PlayStation Vita devices slated to come to Japan next year.
The studio has now released a new trailer which dives into the center of the totalitarian region of Panopticon, a futuristic prison society, and offers an overview of the millions of criminals and hidden cameras that populate the area. In this futuristic setting, the death total from war has sky-rocketed while population growth fails to rise. The trailer also offers a look at the kind of skirmishes that can be expected, including battles against enormous mecha-dragons.
A collection of currently locked screens on the game's official website suggest further information will be unveiled on May 30.
